Monument to Party Founding

Pyongyang, North Korea
This 50-metre monument commemorates 50 years since the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea. Its hammer, sickle and calligraphy brush represent the workers, farmers and intellectuals celebrated by Kim Il-sung's 'Juche' philosophy, while the outer inscription reads:

"The organisers of the victory of the Korean people and the leader of the Workers Party of Korea!"
